Dr. Daniel Ksee (CHRP-K)

Dr. Daniel Ksee has been in the public service for over 30 years. He has served as a Government Veterinarian, rising to be a District Veterinary Officer by the time Devolution took place in 2013. Thereafter, he has worked in the service of the County Government of Makueni in various positions including Head of County Veterinary Services, Chief Officer, Principal Administrative Secretary, Chair-County Performance Management Steering Committee, Managing Director-Makueni County Sand Conservation and Utilization Authority, and Director of Veterinary Services. He is currently deployed in the Office of the Governor. He is also serving in the Makueni County Executive Audit Committee. He is experienced in planning, budget making, project implementation and monitoring, evaluation for impact, and Human Resource Management and Development.
During this time, he has developed interest in strategic management and governance in the public sector and gained valuable experience in these areas in the course of work within the public sector. He has done consultancy work in the areas of strategic management and capacity building in project formulation and human resources. He has good communication and analytical skills. Dr. Ksee has also developed a keen interest in community development and in the process, gained a lot of experience in community engagement for project development and implementation. He has trained in and gained experience in public administration, including human resources management.
Dr. Ksee holds a Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Nairobi and a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Kenyatta University. He is also a Certified Human Resource Practitioner (CHRP-K). He has attended numerous short courses including Strategic Leadership Development Programme (Kenya School of Government, formerly Kenya Institute of Administration), Environmental Mainstreaming (DFC/NIRAS, Denmark), Governance and Food Safety in International Food Chains (Wageningen University and Research, The Netherlands), Capacity Development Program in Saemaul Undong of Local Government – Kenya (Korea International Cooperation Agency), and Food Safety in the Dairy Sector (DFC/University of Copenhagen, Denmark), as well as Global Health at the Human-Animal-Ecosystem Interface (Online/Coursera).
Dr. Ksee has served in various positions in various school boards including Chair of Board, Chair of Parents Association, and Member of Board since 1996. He is currently a Member of the Board at Makueni Girls Secondary School and Chair of its Finance and Administration Committee. He has also supported and continues to support needy students to attain education.
He is a member in good standing of the Kenya Veterinary Association (where he served on the executive committee for two terms from 2020-2024), an associate member of the Kenya Institute of Management, and an associate member of the Institute of Human Resources Management.
